This is a picture from Cancun, MX. I LOVE how this one looks in the template. I thought the template was easy to do once I followed the directions exactly. I am still working on my logo...I really enjoyed this post and creating the template.


This is a picture that I took at Bannack. I just edited the sats a little bit. I thought it looked nice in the template.

Bannack, MT. March 2, 2010 F/4.0 . Shutter Speed: 8. Canon 50D. This was such a tricky shot for me to get. I only adjusted the levels in photoshop to make the color on the wall brighter. It is amazing that a slow shutter can get this cool effect

Photo Merge

I chose these pictures to merge because it looked like Kayley was already looking over at something so I thought I would add a parrot from another weeks shots. I decided to take out some color so they blended a little bit better. I actually like how it turned out, better than I thought.

Photolusion

Here is my photolusion for the week. I had a really difficult time coming up with this photo. I had a few great ideas that I just couldnt ever get to work. This is a picture I took of my husband with a black blanket behind him to look like he is in a picture frame.

Edge and Border Effects

I did a burned border on this one. I like the inside border too, the orange.


For this picture, I used the Flexible Vignette Border which I thought looked really nice.

Rexburg, ID. My house. 3:17. f/4.5 shutter speed 2.5. I darkened the background a little bit to try and make the light stand out.


Rexburg, ID. Downtown. 8:02. f/7.1 shutter speed 2.5. I adjusted the saturation and I cropped it.

Panoramic

I was so bummed that the weather wasn't better ans sunnier in Rexburg all weekend. This was once little ray of sun on Saturday afternoon. I think it turned out pretty well for my first time taking panos. I was so impressed with photomerge and how well and how quickly it merged the photos.

Editing: Photo a day Book Layout

Here is the layout I did for my blog book. I created my own squares and made my own clipping masks. It took me a while to figure out how to do it but I finally got it :)I am not sure I like the gray...what do you think?

Friday: Rexburg, ID. Sonic Diet Coke with Lime, my guilty pleasure. 3:42. f/5.6 shutter speed 1/30. I did a few minor adjustments to the levels


Saturday: Rexburg, ID. 11:02. Flowers from my husband. f/4.5 shutter speed 1/60. I increased the hue/saturation to make the purple pop a little bit more.


Sunday: Rexburg, ID. 4:23. Cookies for my friend who just had a baby. f/4.5 Shutter Speed 1/100. I cropped this picture and lightened it a little bit.


Monday:Rexburg, ID. 7:52 pm f/ 4.5 Shutter Speed 1/25. I lightened the picture a little bit and enhanced the hues a little.


Tuesday:Rexburg, ID. 5:19 pm f/ 5.6 Shutter Speed 1/200. I cropped and lightened this photo of the icicle


Wednesday:Rexburg, ID. 7:40 am f/ 5.6 Shutter Speed 1/13. I was amazed at how the light in the room was hitting this flower petal and sparkling.

For this week I used my friends adorable girls as my models. I took them to the photo studio on campus and used the white backdrop.

Editing: Smart Filter and Mask & Adjustment Layer and Mask

San Diego, CA Temple. I did an adjustment layer on this one, Multiply, and then I used the black paint brush to show the lighter temple spire.



Rexburg, Id Temple. I did a smart filter on this one and I chose the color pencil filter. I then painted with the black paint brush to undo the filter to let it show more prominently.
