Editing: Smart Filter and Mask & Adjustment Layer and Mask

San Diego, CA Temple. I did an adjustment layer on this one, Multiply, and then I used the black paint brush to show the lighter temple spire.

Rexburg, Id Temple. I did a smart filter on this one and I chose the color pencil filter. I then painted with the black paint brush to undo the filter to let it show more prominently.

Edit: Blending and Type

Light House: Canon 50D. f/8.0 Shutter Speed 1/400
Wooden Boards: Canon 50D f/5.6. Shutter Speed 1/6
First I put the picture of the lighthouse in Photoshop and then I added the boards as a new layer. Once I had both pictures in, then I changed them to Black and White. I did the Overlay blending mode at 60% opacity. Then I added my text and I used the darker color blending mode at 50% opacity.

Snorkeling Boat: Cancun, MX August 26, 2009. F 5.6. Shutter Speed 1/160. Canon 50D. I changed the saturation just a little bit

I chose these pictures because I loved the ones of Mexico. That is where we went on our late honeymoon and that is when these were taken. I changed the saturation a little bit on the boat but that was the only editing to all the pictures. I loved the daisy that I bought and thought that the color was so vibrant. I loved these pictures.

Study In Color: RED

I chose to do the color red because I think of red as a very fun color but also very powerful. I believe it is powerful because it means stop when we are driving or stirs feelings of patriotism when we see the red stripes on an American Flag. I took these shots one afternoon as the sun was peeking through the clouds. I did not do much editing to the photos themselves.
